Does Vivix send my colors anywhere?
No. Vivix makes no network calls of any kind. Every contrast calculation, eyedropper pick, and simulation runs entirely on your Mac. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Why does a color I picked look slightly different from what I expected?
Vivix normalizes every color to sRGB the moment it enters the app — right after an eyedropper pick, and right after hex or slider input. On a wide-gamut (P3) display, a color's raw values can differ from its sRGB equivalent; normalizing first keeps the contrast math accurate and consistent.
Does the eyedropper work across multiple displays?
Yes. It uses Apple's system color sampler, which works anywhere on screen — including other apps and other displays — without any special permissions.
What color blindness types does Vivix simulate?
Deuteranopia, protanopia, and tritanopia. Each shows simulated swatches for your current pair along with its own contrast ratio and pass/fail badge.
How many color pairs can I save?
Up to 20. Once you hit the limit, saving a new pair drops the oldest one automatically.
How do I make Vivix launch at login?
Open Preferences from the popover's gear icon and toggle "Launch at login." It's off by default.
